Firstly, it is important to note that almost everything relies on the Internet right now. This means that we access the internet all the time. Therefore, it is important to consider internet security and email security to secure yourself, your information and your accounts.

 

Web security

Web security refers to securing and protecting the organization from cyber-attacks. It is very important for organizations to safeguard their information, staff and the company from security risks. Moreover, it is often referred to as Cybersecurity because it includes website security, cloud security and web application security. Therefore, Cybersecurity is very important to keep any business that accesses the internet going. Moreover, an attack on your web platforms, network or computers can greatly affect your business operations. Examples of web security attacks are Data/Identity theft, Malware, Ransomware, Phishing, Denial of Service (DOS) etc. The three main aspects to consider in web security are Privacy, Integrity and Authenticity.

Email Security is the practice of securing email accounts and email communication from cyber attacks. Examples of such attacks are phishing, spam, denial-of-service, malware etc. Cybercriminals use deceptive messages to retrieve sensitive information from recipients.
