The International Relations Society of Kenya (IRSK) serves as a forum for exchanging ideas, networking and programmatic initiatives among those involved in the study, teaching and practice of international relations and diplomacy. In fulfilling our primary role as the hub for international relations and diplomacy professionals, we work to promote interest in the field, develop expertise and understanding of global issues, connect the IRSK community, and support our membership in fulfilling their ambitions. To this end, the Society is committed to nurturing new generations of global-minded leaders and supporting initiatives geared towards making the world a more peaceful, safe and prosperous place.

The challenge
Enhancing COMESA’s Strategic Positioning and Resilience in the Evolving Global Order
The IRSK 2025 Annual Conference served as a premier forum on international relations and diplomacy. Held as a pre-summit event to the COMESA Heads of State Summit, it provided a strategic platform for reflection, coordination, and forward-looking dialogue among regional and global stakeholders. Marking COMESA’s 30-year milestone, the conference created an important space to reflect on the organization’s legacy while shaping its future trajectory. It brought together diplomats, policymakers, academics, civil society actors, and business leaders, effectively integrating research, policy, and practice.
The outcomes of the conference are expected to inform regional dialogues and contribute to shaping the Summit agenda. We delivered end-to-end support, including strategic branding, production of event materials, professional event photography and coverage, as well as seamless livestreaming, ensuring a high-quality and engaging experience for all attendees and stakeholders.
